TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Eligible Entrants
There are two competitions: an Open Competition for entrants of any age, and a Youth Competition for artists aged 0 to 16 years.
To enter, you must be an Inner West local, meaning you live, work, own a business, or attend school in the Inner West areas that include:
City of Maribyrnong: Footscray, Maribyrnong, Seddon, Yarraville, West Footscray, and Braybrook.
City of Hobsons Bay: Williamstown, Newport, Spotswood, Altona, and Seabrook.
City of Moonee Valley: Moonee Ponds, Ascot Vale, Flemington, Essendon, and Avondale Heights.
City of Brimbank:: Sunshine, Braybrook (shared), and Footscray-adjacent areas.
City of Melbourne (Western Part): West Melbourne, Kensington, and Docklands

The Prizes
There will be two artist fee prizes:
Open (All ages) - $500
Youth (artists aged 0-16) - $300
There will also be four runner-up prizes of a $50 SVTA gift card.
Prizes are not transferrable and are not redeemable for an alternative prize.
Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for another prize. Winning designs may be used on T-shirts and other promotional items at SVTA’s discretion and in line with the licence agreement.
How to Enter
Artwork can be any 2D medium from photography to collage, drawing to typography. Entries must adhere to the design specs for successful submission of application.
Entries must be submitted using the online form on the SVTA or High Tees website.
Files that do not meet the technical requirements may not be considered.
SVTA is not responsible for entries that are late, incomplete, lost or misdirected. If you have difficulty submitting, contact seddontrader@gmail.com before the closing time.
Entry Submissions
By entering, you confirm that:
the work is your own original creation;
you have the right to submit it and to allow SVTA to use it as described in these terms;
the entry does not infringe another person’s copyright, trade mark, moral rights or other intellectual property rights;
the entry is not defamatory, obscene, offensive or unlawful;
the entry does not contain viruses, malware or other harmful material; and
if any part of the work is created by someone else or contains third-party material, you have permission to use it and can provide evidence if asked.
Privacy and Publicity
SVTA will collect personal information such as your name, contact details and any other information needed to administer the competition.
SVTA will use this information to:
process entries;
contact entrants and winners;
run judging and public voting;
publish winners’ names and artworks where appropriate; and
administer prizes and licence agreements.
SVTA may share entrant information with its committee members, judges, High Tees and other contractors involved in running the competition, but only for competition-related purposes.
If you do not provide the required information, SVTA may not be able to accept your entry or contact you if you win.
Licence to use winning artworks
If your artwork is selected as a winner or runner-up, you grant SVTA an exclusive 12 month agreement, followed by a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use your entry for the competition, publicity, and the production of T-shirts and related merchandise, as set out in the licence agreement to be provided.
Judging and Notification of winners
A panel of three judges will select the top six designs, which will then go to a public vote on social media.
SVTA will try to contact winners by phone or email. If a winner cannot be contacted after reasonable efforts, SVTA may select another entry. Winners will be invited to attend the awards ceremony.
General conditions
By ticking the entry box, you confirm that:
you have read and agree to these terms and conditions;
you own or control the rights needed to enter the competition;
you understand that SVTA may reject entries that do not meet the requirements; and
SVTA may cancel, delay or change the competition if needed, but will try to give notice through its website.
